divisions dividing us … we cant even speak without a translational sort-of-interfacing that is, obviously, quasi-oppositional. the subjectivity gap. that thing that makes it so that i dont know any more about you than i did a week after the day we kind of sort of met 7 years ago. solitary people in the cultural milieu. a lot of people know me but they dont know a thing.

What is the manner in which particulates, once divided and obscure to one another, congealed to form the forms and formalities and formalisms that we see as this thing in which we are? That is really the only question. All other shit is superfluous to that one thing we should be thinking about, but we get distracted, and that’s cool, because it’s all a part of it, and thus may contain some kind of clue that will lead us toward an understanding of it all. We may remain confused, but at least we remain curious. There’s really nothing else, is there?

The First Day of Spring…

Posted in Society on 20/03/2012 by Rob Cotton

It’s kind of fucked up, or at the very least, it’s majorly annoying that the first day of spring is not a holiday. Spring is the time for beginnings, regenerations, reemergences and rejuvenation. It is a time to reflect on past hardships and to embrace future hardships, as they lead to new springs. So, why the fuck is bullshit like presidents day celebrated, but not this beautiful, universal event, the beginning of spring?
